A History of the Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course
Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course was established in 1934 and offers 18 holes of championship golf to players of all skill levels. The course takes full advantage of its natural surroundings, with seven lakes and numerous water hazards included in the layout. The club has received several awards from the American Society of Golf Course Architects, including BEst Public Course in Palm Beach County and Best Municipal Golf Course in South Florida. It has also hosted several PGA tournaments, including the LPGA's Betty Peebles Classic in 2007 and 2009.
The Course
Ranging just over a mile long, the Lake Worth Beach Golf Club borders the Intracoastal Waterway featuring many of the holes running parallel to the Intracoastal, offering beautiful views and a cooling breeze. . At just over 6,100 yards, it is not a long course but it still manages to feel like one. The course is 18 holes with par 71. There is strategic bunkering along the greensides and water hazards come into play on a few holes. With generous fairways and no forced carries, the golf course offers a quick and challenging round for more advanced players but gentle enough for beginners. There is also a pro shop on site.

Your best bet for booking tee times is to go directly to the course’s website where they offer 24 hour booking service. Generally, tee times for the public can range from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m at prices ranging from $25 to $40.
Course Rules
If you are thinking of visiting this spectacular course, it is important to keep in mind these rules.
- To drive a golf cart, you must have a valid driver’s license.
- Maximum of two (2) players per cart.
- Must be at least eight (8) years of age to be on the course/ride in a cart.
- Maximum time of play is 4 hours and 10 minutes.
- No personal coolers are allowed.
- Lake Worth Beach Golf Club reserves the right to pair players together.
- Single players must join other singles in carts, only two carts are allowed per foursome.
